Mr. Karana is the founder and principal attorney of Karana IP Law. He has experience in intellectual property and business law matters ranging from music to technology. He is knowledgeable in automotive, blockchain, cannabis, entertainment, and music industries. Alex comes from a family of small business owners and has a passion for helping small business owners achieve their dreams. Mr. Karana is a first-generation American whose family is of Chaldean-Assyrian descent. Chaldean-Assyrians are a Christian minority that originate from Mesopotamia (modern-day Iraq). Prior to law school, Alex led vehicle transmission developments for brands like Dodge Ram, Jeep Wrangler, Polaris Slingshot, Elio Motors, Toyota Tacoma, and the Chevy Camaro. During law school, Alex was a judicial extern for the Honorable Thomas M. Durkin in the the Northern District of Illinois, U.S. Federal District Court.
